The News You've All been waiting for

We have had an eventful few weeks. By the title, I made it sound like I am pregnant or something...but I'm NOT. I surprised Ryan for Valentine's Day and took him and Jaxon to McCall for the day and on the way back home, we stopped by Gold Fork Hot Springs in Donnelly. Jaxon was in heaven. It was by far the best hot springs I have ever been to and it was perfect for kids. Then made Ryan an "Iron Chef" quality meal. The next day, Ryan took me to Angell's. It was delicious. My mother-in-law loves giving presents. She will find give ANY excuse to give someone a present. She got tickets for all the guys in the family to go see the Harlem Globetrotters. Jaxon loved it. I guess he kept saying, "ball" the entire time, so Ryan got him a Globetrotters basketball. Now it is his favorite ball. He won't let it out of his sight. Last night when I came home from visiting teaching, I came into the living room with Ryan and Jaxon in their "fort" that Ryan made. They were playing games and watching a basketball game. I'm not quite sure who the kid is...Ryan or Jaxon, but it was so cute to see.

Now for the best news of all! Tonight Jaxon went peepee in his Elmo Big Boy Potty. I just asked him if he wanted to go potty in his Elmo Potty and he ran in the bathroom. I took his diaper off and he sat there until he went pee. It was so exciting. Jaxon was clapping and smiling so much, because I was a little too excited. He definitely isn't potty trained, but it is a start to something amazing.

OMG. Is that Reese Witherspoon?

So I wanted a new change at the beginning of the year. So I became a little daring and decided to chop some bangs. I brought in this picture to my fabulous hair stylist and she did just that. So, do I look like Reese Witherspoon? Or at least, does my hair look like Reese Witherspoon's hair?

Jaxon's punishment

Jaxon got in a huge fight this weekend...with our metal kitchen chair. If you think Jaxon looks bad, you should see the chair. So Jaxon has been sick for the last week. When he sleeps he can't breath very well and sometimes he closes his mouth. He wakes up randomly not able to breath and freaks out. So during his Sunday morning nap before church, he woke up and through a huge tantrum since he couldn't breath. He woke up kicking and screaming and thrashed his body on the floor. He eventually rolled by our kitchen table. He kicked one of our chairs in and it landed right underneath his eye. The red spot is exactly where the chair fell. If he wasn't crying loud enough, he sure was after this little accident. So of course, at church we had probably 30 people ask us what happened. Ryan's answer was, "Jaxon didn't clean up his chores, so I had to do something."
