Two Wonderful Years

Two years ago today, I married the most perfect man. I am very lucky to have a husband as kind, sweet, thoughtful, loving, funny, generous, handsome, spiritual, hard-working, a great father, fun, gentlemanly, etc... I could keep going, but all you other ladies might get jealous. Seriously, Ryan is amazing. I always knew he was great, but he is absolutely perfect for me. I love him VERY much!

Who needs crawling?

Today Jaxon tried crawling. He didn't really figure it out. He has been trying to get his knees underneath him lately, but just can't get the crawling thing down. So Ryan tried helping him and this is what Jaxon was doing. He wouldn't bend him knees. He was on him hands and feet. It was the funniest thing to see. He was so proud of himself.

What a way to wake up

Yesterday Jaxon had surgery. He had tubes put in his ears. He has had 5 ear infections in the last 5 months. Not fun for anyone in the family. He couldn't have anything to eat or drink after midnight except for water and apple juice. Thank goodness he didn't wake up to eat that night. We had talked to him about what was going to happen. But you can see from the picture that he is really nervous. We woke him up at 6:20am and took him to the ENT. They told us what was going to be done. He had to be put to sleep so he would hold still. They brought him back to us literally 5 minutes later. (Ryan went into the wrong profession.) He was still competely out of it when they brought him to us. When he finally woke up, he was not happy. He was screaming and crying. We had to stay in the office for about 20 minutes to make sure he was fine. Right when we walked out of the office, he stopped crying. He did great. So hopefully he won't have anymore ear infections.

I WANT MY 10 DOLLARS BACK!

We had a little scare with Jaxon today. I put him down for a nap at my Mom's house. I wrapped him up and put some pillows around him and called it good. I was visiting with my Mom and Hilary upstairs for a while and decided I should go check on Jaxon. My dad had just come back upstairs and said that he didn't hear him, so he is probably still asleep. It must have been the Spirit, because I felt prompted to go check on him anyways. When I got to Joe's room, I saw Jaxon lying and the floor, screaming. I picked him and up and he looked so relieved to see me. He had the huff-ups for about 5 minutes after. He had a pretty big bruise and red mark under his right eye and cheek. When I arrived home, Ryan and I checked him out more thoroughly and noticed swelling on the back of his head. We didn't really think anything of it. He didn't have much of an appetite and everytime I would feed him, he would throw it up. He also wasn't sleeping well. So by the time Ryan was about to leave for work, I noticed that his head was swelling more. So we called the doctor's office and they were closed. Just my luck. So I had to speak to an on-call nurse. She told us to go to the ER. We decided to take him to a Quick Care first. The doctor at the Quick Care told us to go straight to the ER as well. At about 7:45pm, we arrived at the ER and he got checked out. They told us he would be fine, but keep a close eye on him for the next few days. It was a little scary, but ended up being okay in the end. Jaxon is so tough. But I still want my $10 back from the Quick Care.

Jaxon's 1st time at the Boise Zoo

It was a beautiful day on Thursday, so Ryan and I decided to go to zoo. Good thing it was 1/2 price day and Jaxon was free, because half of the exhibits were empty or we couldn't find the animals in their cages. Other than that, Jaxon loved it. He was talking and squeeling the entire time. He loved the crane, because it squacked really loud at Jaxon and it made him jump and then get really excited. He also loved the goats and sheep. They would stick their heads out of the fence and try to attack Jaxon and he thought that was hilarious. We had a great time. (He doesn't really looked like he had an enjoyable time from the photos, but I promise he did.)

Tribute to Mom

I have always known how amazing my mom is, but since I have had Jaxon, I have realized that she is much more than just amazing...she is PERFECT. Let me tell you a little bit about my Mom. My mom had 10 kids! If that doesn't say enough, then nothing will. She is great at her calling as a Laurel teacher. The 17 year olds adore her. She would drop anything she is doing to help anyone in need. She is always thinking of others before herself. She is one of the most patient people that I know. She had to be, she had a house of little kids for years. Now she is a great Grandma to her 22 grandkids. She loves unconditionaly. She has made all of her grandkids their blessing outfits. She is a great seamstress. Jaxon's tuxedo was adorable on him. My Mom is gorgeous...inside and out. I wish that I could be half the mom to Jax as she is to all of her children. I love and adore my Mom. Happy Mother's Day!

I have the greatest husband in the whole world

Today is my 25th birthday. Ryan was so sweet to me all day. He is sweet to me everyday, but today he was extra sweet. He took me to Marie Callendar's for breakfast. Then we went to the SUB and played pool after we all took our morning naps. Then my little sister, Cassi was so nice to come babysit for us while Ryan took me to a movie, dinner at Berryhill and then icecream at Fanci Freeze. (I am suppose to only have one sweet a week to help me lose all my baby weight, but I'm not doing too good with that.) Ryan and I are not giving each other gifts this year, since we are going on a cruise, but Jaxon got me a gift. Ryan and Jaxon discussed all day about when they should give me my gift. It was really cute to see Ryan talking to Jaxon and Jaxon trying to talk back. And somehow Ryan said that Jaxon told him that I can't have my gift til night. I was a little bummed, because I hate waiting for surprises when I know they are coming. When we came back from dinner, Ryan put me on a scavanger hunt all over the house. There were 20 clues...
#1- "Cotton headed ninny muggins" (The Elf)
#2- You don't like wearing these unless you are working out (my sock drawer)
#3- Music notes (piano)
#4- Clingy clothes because... (dryer sheets)
#5- "Jesus Wept" (scriptures)
#6- Expensive balls (Ryan's baseballs)
#7- White cigars (tampon box)
#8- Peanut Butter flavored (Cap'n Crunch Cereal)
#9- Smooth legs (razor)
#10- Jaxon loves his fruits and veggies (baby food)
#11- I always know what time it is (watch drawer)
#12- My favorite chore (vacuum)
#13- "She only wants me for my pimp..." (lubricant)
#14- Warming appliance not in the kitchen (dryer)
#15- Soft, colorful window decorations (window seat pillows)
#16- Helpful for clogged poop (plunger)
#17- "Don't put it in the fridge empty" (my water bottle)
#18- I'm a big FAN of staying cool (bedroom fan)
#19- 3 of a kind (Yahtzee)
#20- Coupons, magazines, bills (mailbox)
When I went to the mailbox, there was a small beautifully wrapped box with a flower on top. I ran back inside the house and Ryan was in the living room with my new digital camcorder taping me. So I ripped open the box and there was a gorgeous diamond band. I told him about a month ago that I would like a diamond band for every kid that I have and I will have them all saudered together. I was joking at the time, but a little hopeful. I can not believe that he got me a diamond ring. Ryan is the most thoughtful man that I have ever met. I love him soooooooooooooooooo much. He is the best husband a woman could ask for. Thank you Jaxon for my beautiful gift.
