Perfect Timing to be POTTY TRAINED!

Jaxon woke up last Monday and said he wanted to wear big boy undies like his cousins. I thought it was perfect timing to start potty training since Ryan would be gone all week and we could just stay home and do nothing but focus on going potty and because his baby sister should be coming in just a few weeks. Day 1: no accidents Day 2: 2 accidents Day 3: none Day 4: none Day 5: none and woke up dry in the morning Day 6: none Day 7: none and woke up dry in the morning He is doing so great. Lets pray he keeps it up so I will only have to change and pay for one kid's diapers.

Testimony

Jaxon saw a few younger kids go up and bear their testimonies during Sacrament Meeting yesterday. He kept saying that he wanted to do that. So Ryan took him. They had to wait their turn and Ryan was explaining to him what they were going to do and say. When it was Jaxon's turn to bear his testimony, he put his mouth right on the microphone and said, "Mom. Momma. Mom. Mom." Ryan said he was looking for me in the audience and couldn't find me. He wouldn't say anything else. Even though he didn't bear his testimony, I was still so proud that he wanted to go up to do it. I love my little boy so much.

"Let's have a lil' talk"

Every week Ryan and I talk up nursery so Jax will be excited for when Sunday comes.  Jaxon gets all excited and then right when the closing song starts in Sacrament, he starts whining that he doesn't want to go to nursery.  We keep telling him that nursery is fun, with bubbles, play dough, snacks, toys, coloring, and all of his new friends.  He fake cries the whole way down the hall.  We place him in nursery and he starts to really cry.  Ryan takes him out into the hall and they have a "man to man" talk.  Well last week, Ryan told him on the way to nursery that there will be no crying today and he agreed.  So when we dropped him off, Jax looked like he was about to cry and told Ryan, "Dad, lets have a lil' talk".  Ryan started laughing and walked to the corner of the room with Jax and they had their "man to man" talk and then Jax was just fine.

No fun for Ryan

Ryan had a basketball tournament for work. It's called the Big's N Blue. Police play against attorneys, firemen, paramedics, etc. During Ryan's first game, a guy charged him. He fell on top of Ryan. That would usually be okay during basketball unless you are really skinny like Ryan and obviously fragile like Ryan. The guy's elbow landed right on Ryan's ribs. Ryan just thought he had a bruise or something and continued playing. He played the rest of the 1st game, was a little sore during his 2nd game and couldn't even do anything during his 3rd game (which was against his brother-in-law, Andy). His mom wrapped him up tight and they got ice for him. After the tournament was over he went to a QuickCare on the way home. Sure enough, he broke his rib. He was so sore that evening and the following 3 days. It hurt to breath, move, or practically do anything. I felt so bad for him. Ryan doesn't complain much, so when he does, you know he is in a lot of pain.

Welcome HOME!!!

We are finally in our new home. Actually we have been for about 3 weeks now. There were a few things that tested our patience on the way, but for the most part everything went smoothly. We are settled and loving the neighborhood. There are hundreds of kids everywhere you look. I can't imagine what it's going to be like in the summer. I'm not completely done decorating but I am having a blast doing it. I am still getting used to the drive. It is pretty much far from everywhere, but the home and neighborhood make up for the commute. It is on a dead end street with little traffic. It is almost 3200 sq. ft. It has a split bedroom floorplan which I love. There is a great room, master, mudroom, 1/2 bath, office, and laundry room downstairs. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a game room. The yard is spacious and the foothills are right outside our door. So we will never have backyard neighbors. It is so quiet. If you can't tell, we love our new home.

True Story

Ryan was in New Mexico for bomb training from Sunday-Thursday. While he was away, I was watching my two year old nephew Jake all day. Jaxon had a blast playing with his cousin all day long. That same day I had to meet a couple different guys at our new home to get some estimates on a few things we need done around the house before we move in. I was downstairs talking with the floor and window covering guys. My realtor, Sharon said she would keep an eye on the boys for a minute. Jaxon and Jake ran upstairs and I thought nothing of it, since Jaxon knows where the balls are hiddens in this house. So I thought they would just run around and find a ball or two. Well, I was busy talking with the guys and Sharon got to talking to them also and Jax and Jake were unattended for about 5 minutes. My mom came to see the house for the first time and went upstairs to look around and yelled down the stairs, "Cali get up here now." I ran upstairs and had found that Jax and Jake had thrown 3 shoeboxes full of tiny, plastic jewelry beads all over the gameroom. The floor was cover with thousands and thousands of tiny beads. My mom and I started cleaning handfuls of beads up when Sharon and the blinds guy came upstairs to see the mess. All four of us spend at least 45 minutes picking up beads while Jax and Jake thought it would be funny to keep throwing them up in the air. So my mom put them in timeout on the couch and the blind guy put a movie on his ipad for them to watch. It was so annoying. I learned two things that day. One, don't ever let your daughter have tiny jewelry beads and second, don't leave 2 two years old unattended in someone else's home.

Emri will be the best dressed lil' girl...if only I knew how to sew

I was looking on my friend's facebook page and she had a link to this website. I fell in love with this little girl's outfit. I would love Emri to have the entire thing. The only probably is...I suck at sewing. Everytime I need the littlest thing done, I have my Mom do it for me. So, if anyone wants to make this outfit or anything as cute as this for baby Emri...feel free. I added 2 more links from the same blog, but just to give you an idea of what I want Emri to wear.
