Emily & Michael's Baptism

A few weeks ago our neighbors were baptized. I invited Emily to a Relief Society activity and it sparked her interest. A couple weeks later Emily was asking me some questions about the book "Our Search for Happiness" that her member brother sent to her. I told her that Ryan and I could help answer them but that we knew some people who could help her a lot more. She knew I was talking about the missionaries and told me that they were thinking of inviting them over sometime. I was so surprised. The next day, Emily asked if she could come to church with me sometime. She came the next Sunday by herself. The following Sunday her daughter was sick but her husband, Michael asked if he could come. Michael has mentioned a few times that he does not want any part of organized religion, so we were all shocked when he wanted to come. He even stayed for Sunday School. They have been coming ever since. The missionaries taught them and they were progressing perfectly. They were accepting everything, reading and praying. They gave up many things that were very addicting and hard to break. Let's just say, they have a big sweet tooth now that they can't have their past addictions. They got baptized 3 weeks ago today. Ryan baptized and confirmed Michael and Emily's brother came from New York to baptize and confirm her. They are so happy and so are we.
